Black Metal band Todestriebe was formed in cold December 2007 under the influence of such cult collectives as: Bathory, Burzum, Von, Darkthrone, Dissection and Mayhem. The founder, ideological mastermind and vocalist of the band from that moment is Morkbeast. The first EP "Renunciation" was recorded two years later, in the winter of 2009. In the same year the band began its concert activity, which immediately attracted a lot of attention to it. In May 2012, Todestriebe released their debut album titled "... Scream, Pray, Beg ..." on Godslaying Metal rec., after which the band began to gain popularity among connoisseurs of the genre throughout Russia and beyond. The song “Christian Slut” from this album became a recognizable hit of the band. In the same year 2012, in August, they released split with the American band Hexenwald on the Polish label Black Death Production. The circulation was 500 copies. In the period from 2013 to 2014, Todestriebe gave a lot of concerts in Russia and abroad, while recording there’s next album. On their account there are performances at local concerts in Finland, Norway and Sweden. In 2015, Todestriebe released their second full-length album "Vicarius Filii Dei" on Moscow's Der Schwarze Tod label. In addition to the release of the album, the band took part in another important event - the Dutch festival Eindhoven Metal Meeting in December. In early 2017, the band took part in the underground black metal festival Howls of Winter, which was held in Estonia. At the moment, Todestriebe is actively working on new material.
